AMERICANISM is an unfailing love of country; eagerness to defend it against all enemies; undivided allegiance to the flag; and a desire to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and posterity.

This definition of "Americanism" was promulgated by the Commanders in Chief of the Grand Army of the Republic, United Spanish War Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the United States, The National commanders of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans of the World War at the conference held in Washington, in February 1927.

With Veterans from World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War, other donations, volunteer support and hard work the VFW Post Home in Tonganoxie Kansas was built in 2000.

The Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Tonganoxie was organized and received their charter 23rd day of March 2002.
